The Storyteller - Dave Grohl

— feeling big smile

So this was the only book that I asked for at Christmas time. I didn't get it, so I bought it for myself!
I am a HUGE Nirvana and Foo Fighters fan! I even love listening to Dave's daughter Violet! Man, that kid has some talent too!
Anyway back to the book! I couldn't wait to open it up and start reading!
Then I went through moments of not wanting to put it down, to having to put it down so it wouldn't end!
I read a bunch of reviews before reading the book, more out of jealousy of them having the book before me, but remember one lady that gave it a 2 star rating citing it as just name-dropping and such. I felt like I disagreed with her immensely. Yeah, there were a ton of names. The guy is a legend touring and meeting his legends... so of course names is gonna get dropped throughout. That's what makes a story. PEOPLE. EXPERIENCES. They all happen with people. People who have names, I might add. When a musician of this guy's caliber tells a story, you better believe it's gonna be his AHA moment about his favorite celebrity. I just don't get that person's logic in their review. My only thinking is they obviously don't like his type of music to begin with. Sorry for them.
K, so back to the book. It was awesome! It felt like Dave was talking to you, not you reading a book. You felt his gratitude and how humble he was those times when he met his idols, or even when he met people like me. He is a helluva guy, if you ask me, and if you're reading this, I guess you did.
To Dave, write some more and tell us more! I'd buy it and read it, no problem!
