The Fragrance of Crushed Violets - Cathy Bryant

This little book packed a really big punch to me. I thought, before reading this, that I was a forgiving person and was easily able to let things go. I've now come to realize that I may just be a 'stuffer'. Someone who stuffs it all inside and tries to forget about it. Forgetting is not forgiving. Letting go, is. When you try to forget, you just accumulate the pain.
I now see I didn't let things go. I hold on deeply to them, so far inside it was out-of-sight. I see it now though.
Forgiveness doesn't just clear the air between the people involved, its powerful enough, when done right, that it can actually mend. The problem is learning how to forgive and how to let go. This comes with wisdom, confidence and I believe, prayer. This book teaches you how to implement those things into forgiving. I urge you, if you need to let go of something, no matter how big or small, take the time to read this book. Even if you think you are a forgiving person, like I thought I was, take the time to read this book. Be sure to do the studies inside, and see if you learn something new about yourself as I did. You won't regret it.
